That’s how it went with Brother Bear and Smirk, too. At first, it looked as if Brother and gang member Smirk wouldn’t be able to agree on anything. After all, Brother was just about the only cub who stood up to the Too-Tall Gang. But once they got to know each other, they found that they had something in common: they both built model airplanes. They came up with the idea of playing the roles of the Wright Brothers and telling how they had invented the airplane. Brother would play the role of Orville, and Smirk would be Wilbear.

That’s how it went with most of the teams. They had a hard time at first, but after a while they found common ground and were able to decide on an invention.

Except for Ferdy and Too-Tall.

It got so hot and heavy between them that Teacher Bob came close to interrupting a number of times. But just when Bob had decided to give up on Ferdy and Too-Tall, they had a breakthrough. At least, that’s what it looked like. After a complicated hands, fists, and elbows high five, plus fanny bumps, Ferdy and Too-Tall came to Teacher Bob with big grins and two pieces of paper.
